Seascape by Charles-François Daubigny
Charles Francois Daubigny - 1817-1878
Original; oil on canvas 200 x 100 cm bxh
The painting shows waves washing up with seagulls above and fishing boats in the distance.
Daubigny's paintings were admired by members of The Hague School because of the broad brushstrokes Charles used and the subtle colour nuances. They were able to apply this combination well when creating Dutch landscapes.
